JOIN US for the VIAAA 2021 New Athletic Directors Workshop -Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Charlottesville High School in Charlottesville, VA. ONLY 40 Seats!
This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview designed for the new athletic administrator, an aspiring athletic administrator or any athletic administrator desiring a refresher. The philosophy is to assist the athletic administrator in the many and varied duties associated with the position. If you have just been hired, been on the job for a year, switching schools, serve as an assistant, or simply hope to join the profession one day – come and join us, you will not regret your decision! High school/middle school and public/private Athletic Administrators are all welcome.
The workshop will introduce various topics of the trade, provoke thought, and provide resources for the year and your career. The Workshop will be presented over a three-day span – starting at 12NOON on July 20, 2021 and concluding at Noon on July 22, 2021. Each participant will be enrolled in and complete NIAAA Foundation Courses - LTC 501 & 502 and then be given information of how to complete LTC 503 within 60 days of finishing the workshop. This will allow each participant to have met all the requirements to apply for their first level of national certification and receive their RAA and be well on their way towards their CAA certification.
Topics addressed will include Financial Procedures and Budgets, Human Resources procedures, Legal Issues, The First Year Experience, NIAAA certification, Getting Organized with Staff – Office – Community – Events, Independent School-specific Topics and VHSL-specific Topics.
The registration fee is $195 (on or before July 8, 2021 – after July 8, 2021 there will be an additional fee of $55). Each participant will leave with a resource drive to utilize throughout their first year and beyond. There are only 40 available seats for the workshop.

1. Login in to your VIAAA AMP account at https://viaaa.finalforms-amp.com/ If you do not have an AMP account, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. Enter your email address for your username and the password for your VIAAA AMP Member account
3. On your Main Member Page, locate the "VIAAA Events" section on your account page
4. To the right of the "VIAAA Events" row, click on the "*View All Events" button
5. Find the VIAAA event you want to register for and click on the "Register" button next to the event
6. You will be taken to the cost and fees page, Click the "Yes Register" button
7. Complete the registration form of the event you are registering for and when the form is complete, type your name in the signature field and submit the form.
You will be taken to the checkout page where you can download a “Generated Invoice” if needed for your Treasurer's Office and/or to mail in with a check payment. You can also choose to pay online by credit card.
